An open, vendor-neutral wire protocol for durable multi-agent AI workflow orchestration.
OpenWOP defines how multiple AI agents, deterministic tools, sub-workflows, and human reviewers collaborate inside a single durably-suspendable, replayable run—and how independent hosts (workflow engines, SDKs, debuggers, agent runtimes) interoperate over the same contract. v1 introduces first-class orchestrator-driven multi-agent workflows with agent identity, reasoning events, an agent-memory adapter layer, and multi-turn conversation primitives.
The spec ships with machine-readable contracts (OpenAPI 3.1, AsyncAPI 3.1, JSON Schema 2020-12), a black-box conformance suite, three reference SDKs (TypeScript on npm, Python on PyPI, Go modules), and two reference hosts (in-memory Node, durable SQLite).
